Multi-zone Paging is a staple method of communication in large commercial buildings, office buildings, industrial settings, and just about any setting in which you cannot simply speak to another employee. There are various types of paging systems available, and we do them all. All standard paging systems include an amplifier, outputs, (usually speakers or horns), and an input (usually a telephone or Aiphone). Speakers are common for areas such as ceilings and walls. Because horns are designed to take more abuse they are physically more conspicuous and are therefore found more often in areas like freezers, basements, storage rooms and countless other scenarios. A similar type of paging uses desktop or wall mounted telephones as the input in place of an Aiphone or intercom. One advantage to this system, depending on your type of phone system, is that no additional hardware is required to use your telephones for paging. In a Panasonic phone system for example, one would even be able to use the telephone itself as not only the input, but the output as well, due to the speakerphone capabilities of many Panasonic models. |
