| All
data network cabling that Horizon technicians install are certified
to verify that they exceed all of the current industry standards (EIA/TIA,
ISO, IEEE), from a single CAT-5E data network location to a multi-building
fiber-optic data network infrastructure. Certification is often used
as a troubleshooting device in order to find or prevent network problems
or failures. Certification is the only way to guarantee that a cable
will perform up to its specifications and that a manufacturer’s
warranty will be honored. Various certification tests can be performed
in a package or as individual tests for various types of installations.
• Cable termination accuracy
• Frequency limits
• Insertion loss
• Near-end cross-talk (NEXT)
• Power-sum near-end cross-talk (PSNEXT)
• Equal-level far-end cross-talk (ELFEXT)
• Power-sum equal-level far-end cross-talk (PSELFEXT)
• Attenuation cross-talk ratio (ACR)
• Power-sum attenuation cross-talk ratio (PSACR)
• Return Loss
• Bit error rate testing (BERT)
• Active network port identification
• Link testing
